Probably many of you already know the village Shirakawago , because it is classified as a World Heritage site of 'UNESCO and is appreciated for the beautiful scenery in the mountains with a hundred houses in the style Gassho that have a sloping roof made of straws. Shirakawago became famous worldwide thanks to the book entitled "The rediscovery of Japanese beauty" writing by the famous German architect Bruno Taut in 1933 that there was Gassho and praised the style in his book. Shirakawago but unfortunately is in Japanese Alpine regions, it is not so easy to get from Tokyo to Kyoto is especially for individual travelers.
